Why the Soul Matters in Modern Living

People must wonder why

I’m so sure that the soul is the most important part of who we are. Even I wonder how and when it became my mission to teach about it. All I know is that MY SOUL knows this is my path and I’ve learned not to argue.

My own evolution starts as a typical story that later took a turn. I grew up in Colorado as the youngest of five children in a seemingly common family. As most stories of spiritual awakening are told, tragedy struck when my father was in an accident when I was nine years old. Life before that time was playful and fun—no cares in the world. Everything changed following that event and I honestly feel like that’s when my childhood ended. I can’t speak for the others, but a heavy sense of seriousness and responsibility set in at that point. I’m certain it was predestined as part of my own soulful path, but later in adulthood I had to grieve the fact that my youthful years were cut short.

Why does the soul matter? Because we are forever changed when “life happens”. It is the human condition that leaves a mark, but it is our soul that holds the wounds. Our innermost self is the recipient of all of our experiences whether good, bad or ugly and for those who are interested in healing, it can be a lifetime (or lifetimes) journey to resolve the scars left behind.

Ancient cultures knew the soul was of utmost importance. The more “modern” we’ve become, the more we’ve left the energetic essence of who we are behind, thinking the science of the body and mind are all that matters.

The following video helps you explore why the soul may be the key to understanding your life: your ongoing challenges, life lessons, difficult relationships, frustrations with finding your soul’s purpose, unexpected events and even your health problems.

The soul is in EVERYTHING. And apparently it's my job to help you make sense of this.
